Friends of  Santa Claus

Friends of Santa Claus is a non-profit organization that provides emotional and financial support to children with cancer and their families.

Ted and Barbara Van Thullenar founded the program in Asheville in 1993 to serve families in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

We realized that when a child is diagnosed with cancer it has an enormous impact on the whole family financially, psychologically, and emotionally. As one mom said, "Friends of Santa Claus gives hurting kids happy times"!
